Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RedMapAlert website, applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by ECONSTART LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("RedMapAlert," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization.

2. The Service

RedMapAlert provides an enforcement intelligence platform that aggregates, normalizes, and presents information from public U.S. federal sources — including publications and enforcement actions from agencies such as the DOJ, SEC, IRS, FTC, CFPB, OFAC, and SAM — and delivers alerts, maps, reports, risk scores, and related tools to help you monitor and research enforcement activity.

Features vary by plan. Current plans and feature limits are described on our Pricing page. We may add, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for business, research, and professional use. You are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

4. Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms and your plan limits, you may use the Service to:

  • Monitor federal enforcement publications relevant to your organization or research
  • Generate and export reports for internal risk, compliance, or investigative workflows
  • Configure watchlists and alerts according to your subscription tier
  • Access the API where included in your plan, within published rate and usage limits

5. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest the Service beyond what your plan and API allow
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute Service output as a standalone data product without our written permission
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or security controls
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or unlawfully discriminate against individuals or entities
  • Introduce malware, interfere with infrastructure, or probe systems without authorization
  • Misrepresent RedMapAlert scores or reports as official government findings or as proof of guilt
  • Use the Service in violation of export controls, sanctions, or other applicable law

To report abuse or security issues, contact security@redmapalert.com. For factual corrections to displayed records, contact corrections@redmapalert.com.

6. Data Sources

Enforcement records shown in the Service originate from official U.S. government publications and other public federal sources already in the public domain. RedMapAlert does not create enforcement actions; we index, structure, and present what agencies have published. Our ingestion and scoring approach is described on the Methodology page.

Source availability, formatting, and timeliness depend on third-party publishers. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any U.S. federal agency.

7. Risk Scores & Decision Support

Risk scores, maps, alerts, and reports are provided for decision-support and informational purposes only. They summarize public records and algorithmic signals; they are not proof of wrongdoing, not findings of fact, and not substitutes for your own due diligence, investigation, or judgment.

A high or low score does not mean we have verified criminal conduct, civil liability, or regulatory violation. Always consult primary source documents and qualified professionals before taking action that could affect rights, employment, credit, or legal position.

8. No Legal or Professional Advice

Nothing in the Service constitutes legal, tax, accounting, investment, or compliance advice. RedMapAlert is not a law firm, auditor, or registered investment adviser. You should seek advice from licensed professionals appropriate to your situation before relying on Service output for consequential decisions.

9. Accuracy and Completeness

We strive to process public sources accurately and promptly, but the Service may contain errors, omissions, delays, or misattributions — including entity-name matching limitations. Data may be updated, corrected, or removed when we identify issues or when sources change. We do not warrant that the Service is complete, current, or error-free.

10. Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for how you use the Service, including decisions you make based on alerts, scores, or exports. You must maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and promptly notify us of unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account unless you have notified us of compromise and we have had a reasonable opportunity to act.

11. Billing and Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Plan names, prices, and included features are listed on /pricing and may change for new purchases; we will give notice before price changes apply to an existing subscription where required.

Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current rate until canceled. Taxes may apply based on your location. Failed payments may result in suspension of paid features after reasonable notice.

12. Cancellation and Refunds

To cancel a paid subscription, email info@redmapalert.com from the address on your account. We process cancellations manually through Stripe; future charges stop once cancellation is confirmed. Access to paid features typically continues through the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated at checkout.

For new paid subscription purchases, you may request a 14-day full refund within 14 days of your first charge by emailing info@redmapalert.com. Refunds are processed manually; we do not offer automated self-service refunds in the product today. One-time report purchases are generally non-refundable once the report has been delivered or substantially generated. Refund requests outside the 14-day window are handled at our discretion except where required by law.

13. Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, design, branding, documentation, and proprietary scoring methodologies, is owned by ECONSTART LLC or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Public-domain source material remains in the public domain; our compilation, presentation, and derivative analytics are our property.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your internal business purposes during an active subscription. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted by law.

14. API Access

API access is available only on plans that include it. API use is subject to authentication requirements, documented endpoints, and plan-specific rate limits and quotas. Excessive or abusive API use may be throttled or suspended. API terms may be supplemented by separate documentation; in case of conflict, these Terms control unless expressly stated otherwise.

15. User Data and Content

You retain ownership of information you submit to the Service (for example, watchlists, organization names, and support messages). You grant us a license to host, process, and display that information solely to operate and improve the Service. You represent that you have the rights to submit such information and that it does not violate third-party rights or law.

Enterprise customers processing personal data on the platform may request our Data Processing Addendum — see /legal/dpa.

16. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Security practices and subprocessors are summarized on the Security page. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read those documents.

17. Availability and Changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, third-party outages, or force majeure events may cause downtime. We may change infrastructure, features, or source coverage as the product evolves.

18. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ECONSTART LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR THAT RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

19. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ECONSTART LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

20. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision poses security or legal risk. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and intellectual property) will survive.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes affecting paid subscribers, we will provide notice by email or in-product notice when practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
